Last Wednesday on Sept 19th 2012, PandoDaily, the new exclusive media aggregator in Silicon Valley had their second panel event at Bennett Media Studio. The audience had a nice and intelligent talk with Jonah Peretti, the founder of BuzzFeed and Huffington Post, centering a topic on what it means for content to go viral, his belief that human curation is more important than SEO in the age of the social Web, and why he believes that BuzzFeed can support both investigative journalism and light-hearted slideshows with the same enthusiasm.

PandoMonthly Presents: A Fireside Chat with Jonah Peretti
Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (EDT), New York, NY
PandoDaily monthly event PandoMonthly New York is coming back this week at Bennett Media Studio.
We are thrilled to have them back again and have a nice chat with Jonah Peretti, co-founder of The Huffington Post and BuzzFeed.
One of the New York Web ecosystem's big advantages is the talent and smarts from its old media roots as applied to decisively new media businesses. Peretti may define where new media is going more than anywhere else right now. That includes the good -- an almost unbelievable ability to grab the world by the lapels and make it laugh and cry but mostly click. And the bad -- a reliance on kittens, fluff, and SEO link bait have been snobby old-media gripes of both The Huffington Post and BuzzFeed.
Is Peretti the future of journalism? And if so, is that a good thing or a bad thing? I expect this to be the central point of our discussion next week, and will say a lot about where media -- one of those lifeblood businesses of New York -- is headed.
Please note that this event is a charity fund raising event to help bring fresh water to Rwanda. Thanks for your support!

PandoDaily Live Streamed at Bennett Media Studio
On August 16, 2012, PandoDaily event last week was a great success over at Bennett Media Studio. Our 100 audience had a great time communicating and mind sharing with guest speaker Ben Lerer. The internet server in the building was able to successfully support live streaming feed for Livestream production team. As PandoDaily/PandoMonthly stated this event there "funniest (and most profanity-laden) one yet", they are very likely to come back later this November, so keep tuned!
